Special notes:
As a pioneer in the business software industry, it is hardly surprising that SAP should also be the first major company to establish operations in HafenCity. SAP moved into its new building, comprising offices and a training center, on Kibbelsteg in the Grasbrook quarter back in the early days of the HafenCity development in 2003. The 12,500 square meter (134,549 sq. ft.) building was designed by Hamburg architects Spengler Wiescholek. It features a central, glass-covered hall that spans all levels and maximizes the location’s waterfront views. From the building’s offices, training rooms and canteen, employees and customers alike enjoy stunning panoramic views of the historic Speicherstadt warehouse district and the Grasbrookhafen marina, as well as of the ships passing by on the River Elbe and the giant cruise liners that dock nearby.
