An exhibition on one of the most important urban development projects in Europe, Hamburg's HafenCity, was presented in cooperation with HafenCity Hamburg GmbH, the German Embassy in the Republic of Korea, and the German-Korean Chamber of Industry and Commerce from 24th April 2007 to 6th Mai 2007 at the Cheonggyecheon Museum as part of this year's Hi Seoul Festival 2007. The exhibition was inaugurated on 24th Aril 2007, during a reception at the German Embassy in the Republic of Korea by Woo-lim Kim (Director Seoul Museum of History), Hyo-Joon Kim (Repr. Director & President BMW Group Korea and Vice President of AHK Korea), Bianca Penzlien (HafenCity Hamburg GmbH), Dr. Norbert Baas (German Ambassador in Korea), Seung Guk Moon (Director-General CBD Development Bureau Seoul Metropolitan Government), and Hyo-Sung Jung (Director General Cultural Affairs Seoul Metropolitan Government) (from left to right).

Before the background of various concepts about the renaissance of the banks of River Han in the city of Seoul, the presentation of the HafenCity Hamburg project at the Cheonggyecheon Museum constituted an initial contribution to an exchange between Hamburg and Seoul about the urbanistic integration of city and river.
