Annual Press Conference : Future strategies for inner-city development

Urbanity and the capacity for encounter appear to be inherently challenged. HafenCity Hamburg GmbH oriented essentially towards new construction, must address the consequences. What might a post-pandemic orientation of the inner city look like? Can the principles of the Healthy City serve as a guideline? Or, more broadly, is the resilience of the city the new paradigm? Do other principles, such as the “compact city”, now have to be shelved?

Meeting place for everyone: Construction starts on Lohsepark community building

Not long now: At the play area in Lohsepark, construction of the long-awaited community house is due to begin in May 2021. The colorful wooden building with a lookout tower and roof greening will be built in the playground area on the side of the street Am Lohsepark facing the park. It will be a social meeting place for visitors of all ages.

Site analysis for Science City Hamburg Bahrenfeld published

Following the go-ahead by the Hamburg Senate and parliament, the newly established Science City Hamburg Bahrenfeld GmbH has now carried out a comprehensive site analysis. This documents the current on-site situation based on existing records, specialist analyses and the expert knowledge of various institutions and stakeholders.

HafenCity Hamburg GmbH launches new website

HafenCity Hamburg GmbH has updated its corporate website and adapted the design to the demands of a modern communication platform. The new Internet presentation of more responsive and better integrated with HafenCity city’s other digital channels, LinkedIn, Xing and Vimeo. The design is clearer, more contemporary and better structured and fits well into HafenCity Hamburg GmbH’s overall digital world.
